Virility Exchange

This ritual was developed by Sivak Gol'rotta around 170AT. It was used to give her fertility to a family member who was unable to start her own family.

History

After her adventures, Sivak Gol'rotta retired from both the military and adventuring, marrying long time love interest Sivak Arleith. Settled into a mundane but eventful lifestyle, the two were surprised to have a flourishing family, with three eggs totalling four children along with their adopted daughter. At the same time, her friend and bondling Sivak Tethys was distraught, worried she was barren and longing to have a normal life after her corruption.   Gol'rotta got the idea to see if she could give Tethys her fertility. Five children was more than her fair share in the lives of the spartan Sivak Clan and Tethys deserved more than she got from life. Following her instincts, she led Tethys deep into the dreaming grove and willed mother nature to give the younger dragonborn the ability to have children in exchange for her own. The ceremony that she performed that way would later be recorded and passed down from that day forward.

Ceremony

The ceremony is fairly simple to do, especially for those with strong connections to nature. It has been known to be more effective in the more lush environments, far from the distractions of civilized life. The one giving their fertility will have a collection of things that represent life, traditionally seeds, fruits and other such things large enough to be held and easily passed, while the receiver will start with things that do not contain life, such as stones and bones. Each will take from their own pile, passing their object from one hand to the other, crossing over their abdomen, before simultaneously passing their object to the other. They will then pass the new object from hand to hand in the same fashion before setting down the received object and repeating the process. The number of times and the length of time varies, but it works best when performed in a fluid, unending motion to make a complete circle.
