Mononostra

In Malderia, there are the Seiguenorians. These people are the same as any human, but a bit larger. Hair, chin, two legs, two arms, two noses... and it's this last bit that sets the Seiguen apart from every other race.    Everybody knows more is better, two is better than one, et cetera. The dual-nose is a symbol of Seiguen pride, provided by Dargoth himself, to make them better than every other race. Imagine if you met a human with one arm in the center of their chest, would you not say they are cursed with a lesser existence than yours, that they are fundamentally disabled? This is how the Seiguen see those with one schnoz.   That said, it doesn't take a curse for someone to be born disabled. Sometimes one is born with... well, one. One leg, one arm... one nose. Dargoth can't alter the genetics of every baby on the continent to make them perfect, he can just make the source code as close to infallible as possible. Thus, it is inevitable that a few children will be born disabled per generation. One can only hope they are born with one arm or leg, because then they can prove themselves stronger than any other by achieving the same heights with half the muscles.   But losing your nose, the symbol of Seiguen pride? There's no replacing that with brute force and intellect, the hallmarks of Seiguen society. It's a scar one wears for life. And considering it's usually a sign of being cursed by Dargoth to be dual-nostril'ed, well... one can only imagine how they're treated as they grow up, as well as their parents. What does it mean if your child is born with a cursed face? It can only mean the parents have done something truly wrong... right?
