Xander "Sandy" McLain is the Governor of Pirate's Landing. As cunning as he is amoral, Sandy was an infamous pirate before settling into his position as governor. He is wanted "Dead or Alive" by the governments of Peltarch, and Thallaspur, a fact he doesn't let bother him from his safe position off the mainland. Sandy was similarly wanted by the nation of Elendar but recently had the price on his head revoked when he played a pivotal role in sinking a number of black warships from the Land of Dagrazt that were headed for the Elendarian coastline.
Crucial to his ascension to power, Sandy helped to create the Pilot's League. Under his watch the Free City of Pirate's Landing has experienced a time of unprecedented prosperity.
