The Womakin Proper
The Womakin Proper is a disputed territory located southwest of Volinsk. The nomadic people of the Womakin Proper have much in common with Volinskians and during the early history of The Seven Tribes of Volinsk the Womaks were frequent allies. Since the formation of the Volinskian state, however, the Womakin Proper has fought hard to maintain its independence often resulting in violence against its former allies. Indeed, it was a group of assassins headquartered in the Womakin Proper that successfully assassinated Dread Sovereign Viktor Konstantinov after he increased his efforts to annex the lands of the Womakin Proper into the Volinskian borders.
As a people, the Womakin Proper mostly operates as a confederation of nomadic tribes and gypsy colonies. What few permanent settlements they have are far away from the borders of nearby Kraal. They are a deeply religious people who prefer a simpler way of life. Although the Womaks have many reasons to resist the colonial aspirations of Volinsk, many scholars point to the dark beginnings of the Volinskian state popularized in The Legend of Alexei Dagranova as a key reason for their refusal to swear allegiance.
