Brecklemine
Long ago many different mountain resources within the Curtain Veil Mountains were discovered by the dwarven adventurer Hugo Breklem. No fool to the greed of men, Hugo fortified the narrow pass into his hollow by promising a small group of his kinsmen vast wealth and a sizable stake in the many mines. In return for this stake in the claim, the dwarves helped Hugo erect a series of walls and gates in the pass and constructed stone forts in the surrounding mountainside. A wise move. Since their discovery, which includes various iron and coal mines, as well as large veins of gold, silver, and the fabled “Hugo’s Romance” Ruby mine, the Brecklem Mines have been a source of constant conflict with the various Bandit tribes that plague the plains of the Shetsarim Confederates To this date, however, no one and nothing (including the fabled Brecklem Red Dragon) have been successful.
Recently, the dwarves uncovered a surprise while delving into the mountain when they uncovered the secret tomb of Ezrill the Sage Mistress. The dwarves initially found the magical wards too powerful to penetrate, but the heroes Rah Panushea and Melwen Profit were able to subvert the traps and enchantments and discovered a powerful artifact of evil, the Grim Facade.
