The Lonely Mountains

To the west of the coastal settlement of Ilbarsis lie the Lonely Mountains.
These mountains are quite separate from the mountain ranges to the west and north of the country and lie in a large region of forest-covered rolling hills, except to the southwest where there lies a low-lying area of marsh land.
The main claim to fame for the Lonely Mountains are the ruins situated halfway up their slopes on the eastern side. These ruins are taboo to the local Stemian tribes and are rumoured to be the site where the original priest kings of the Stemians ruled over the country.
