The prices for cab rides in Constantine are not regulated and there aren't many cabs, so there is little competition to help drive down the price.
The average price per mile of travel within the built-up areas of the city is 1 Lion per mile approximately. Further afield the price goes up, especially if the trip is one way.
When a cab is hailed, the driver will normally ask the destination and quote a price. Bargaining can then occur, but how hard the cabbie will bargain, and whether, are all situational.
