Black Eye Dice

How Giants Have Fun.

Introduction:

The Dwarves of Worheim are well known as lovers of dice games and commonly carry a few dice with them in their travels. An unlucky traveler was met by a wandering giant in the northern reaches of Worheim and met a fateful end. The Giant made quick work of the unfortunate traveler and while rifling through his possessions found a small bag filled with dice. Upon returning to his village in the north, the dice were quickly turned into a favorite game, played quite regularly. Black Eye Dice is a simple game where one rolls the dice to determine how many times he can punch his opponent in the face. The game is primitive and is more of a way to show strength as no brainwork goes into this game. If anything, they are losing what little brains they do have left.

Rules:

The basic rule of the game is just that, basic. Two giants go head to head. Each one rolls the dice in turn and must punch the other giant the number of times determined by the number in the dice roll. The last Giant standing is the victor.

Dice Rolls:

  • Roll of a 1: The best roll to get. You get one punch as hard as you can right into the nose of the opponent with a running head start.
  • Roll of a 2: You get to punch the opponent in the side of the face twice, once with each hand.
  • Roll of a 3: You get one punch to the neck, and two punches to the arms, one on each side.
  • Roll of a 4: You get two punches to the chest and two punches to the arms, one on each side.
  • Roll of a 5: You get one kick to the groin, two punches in the arms, and two punches in the legs, one on each side.
  • Roll of a 6: The Worst Roll to Receive, You get to punch your opponent six times in the ass.

Execution

A large slab of black marble is kept in villages, especially for this game. When one Giant challenges another giant all gather around as the slab is pulled out to play. Each opponent must roll the dice upon the slab if the dice falls off the roller gets one swift punch to the face for the foul.

Components and tools

  • One Dice. (More are used if the combatants are feeling especially cocky.)
  • Black Marble Slab for a Table.

Outcome:

The loser of the game is forced to give the victor a prize. Pigs, shoes, weapons, and other personal belongings will do. If the reward is not deemed worthy enough, then the victor may punish the loser with a brutal bashing.   Casualties are common.
