Draconic

Draconic was the language of the dragons in their ancient civilization. One of the oldest surviving languages, preserved both by the ruins of their cities and the descendants species.
The spoken language has evolved and each species has their own dialects due to their physiology however the written language has changed little as each species seeks to retain their connection to their predecessor. Draconic is also the defacto language of magic as much of current magical understanding was learned from the ancient texts.
