BB's Diary #4
Lumday, 4th Shadow 211 EoL
Dear Diary,
today was one of the worst days of my life, because I was sure that I was going to lose the most important person in the world: my beloved brother TT.
But first things first. During the night we all had very strange dreams, it was probably that creature put them in our heads... It told me that I would become famous and get my parents' approval if I would bring him home. I mean, first, he tells me that I'm ugly and then he wants me to present him to my parents... he only wants to get into my pants, I'm sure about that now... and how cheap was that advance anyway...
So we woke up, and apparently Leaf felt better although she was still very weak. I told her to trust nobody here, and if we would not return in a day, that she should leave, and not talk to anybody. This place is no good for any of us...
We then went back through the narrow passage into the Giant ruins. We found the last statue and solved the riddle that would open the sealed doors. We got a lot of magic stuff, that might come in handy afterwards.
Before opening the last door, Gullitiklan (that's the name of the guy playing with our minds), told us that there would be water behind it. And as soon as Drake touched one of the runes inside that room, a magical barrier came up and the room started to fill with water. Yelena and Shirel tried to open the door blocking us from getting out. Before they managed to open it, TT just knocked on it and it opened miraculously. He's just the coolest brother ;) In the next room was a pool of water with a chest on a chain floating in it. But again... no ordinary chest, nooooo... it attacked us, it had teeth and everything. We killed it quite quickly and continued our journey.
Yelena was the first one to get over the pool, and then it turned dark, as Yelena and her sword had disappeared. Then Drake, Birdy, and Gwenelle disappeared as well. Shirel, TT, and I found out that there was a portal. Shirel went in and was gone. TT wanted to take me with him, but I really did not want to go through an illegal portal, which we had not investigated before... TT fell into the portal and was gone as well... I was all alone... it took me a moment to come to my senses... I was crying, but I knew that I needed to find TT. I then decided to shoot a seeking arrow through the portal to find out his location, and then a second one to find out where Drake is, so that I knew if they were together. But they were too far away from each other to know if they were in the same room.
So in my despair, I called out to the only one that I knew was still "with" me: Gullitiklan. I told him, that I needed his help. He told me, that he could bring me to TT, if I promised to free him. Nice try, but you know, two can play that game... I was the master manipulator in high school, and could finally put that to use. So I told him, that wasn't what I wanted. I wanted for him to bring all of them back to me, including Drake's dead friends. He told me that he was not powerful enough to do that, and so I had him right, where I wanted, asking him, to show me what was in his powers, he revealed a map of a labyrinth to me. The one behind the portal, in which all of them were trapped. With that new information, I was eager to go in and save them. But the moment after I went in, I got a feeling where all of the others were standing, and so did they, and they also knew the shape of the labyrinth... well there went my plan. At first, I was angry, but then I realised, for something that powerful to happen, somebody must have given in and taken the deal. I know it wasn't me... probably Birdy, she was already acting weird, or that Shirel guy... but no, he seems to strong-minded to do something as stupid... Oh no, please don't let it be TT...
I found some of the others and it quickly turned out, that TT was out of his mind. He was driven by Gullitiklan. He had the urge to join him, no matter the cost. At least he was fighting strong enough not to attack me (although we all know, that I could kill him instantly). He didn't want to stay with me and ran away. I shot an arrow at him, trying to stop him. So he made a wall of ice between us. At that moment the others had joined us, and while Shirel and Yelena tried to break down the wall, the rest of the group ran the other way around, trying to get between TT and where Gullitiklan was really kept a prisoner. When I arrived at the scene, Shirel, Yelena and Birdy had already saved TT. But he looked so different like he came freshly out of a snowstorm. His skin was way whiter than it used to be, and his hair was frozen... could it be... could he be... the first-ever Ice-Genasi?? That would be amazing!!
We ran out of there. That Gullitiklan is not to be played with. We freed the other people from their tanks, went to get Leaf and soon found ourselves outside. We then used some cool tricks to get the tadpoles out of them before we could heal them. TT sad there with the first tadpole in his hands, and then... I don't know what happened... an ice explosion of some sort came out of him. Hurting all of us badly, Shirel even went down (I mean I don't like him that much, but he does not deserve to be treated like that for no reason) and the Halfling that we got out of her tank even died. Understandably, Drake threatened to shoot TT who opened the friendly fire. But after that attack TT just sat there, exhausted, like I've never seen him... I am so scared. My dear diary, what is happening to my brother? Soon after that, he fell asleep.
While we set Birdy on a boat with the remaining wolves. The six of us set a camp. TT could not keep watch, he was far too weak. So I saw an opportunity and asked if I could take watch with Drake, and guess what? He said yes!! We had such a good talk. He put his hand on my thigh, and man that felt SO GOOD! So I did the same and kissed him gently on the cheek.
The conversation got really sad as he told me about his friends, who died on this very island. Killed by a dragon. That barrel that he keeps all the time with him, belonged to one of those friends, Mini, if I remember correctly. Afterward, I just held him in my arms, put my head on his shoulder and we stared into the warming fire until it was time to wake the next ones to keep watch. Since I didn't want to wake TT, I asked Drake if I could join him in his tent. Now we just lay there... next to each other. This was not how I had planned our first night together, but sometimes, there are more important things than sex, and falling asleep close to him, in his arms sure is one of those things. I'm really falling for him.
