Sura was conquered by the Senet'tu dynasty of Kibmehhk in 887. The Kibmehk rulers were let into the city by a coalition of nobility, taking the throne and deposing the ruling dynasty. The widespread unpopularity of the Novus dynasty, still rumoured to be illegitimate due to their manner of acquiring the throne and their lax leadership, allowed the Kibmehk to place a puppet regent on the throne but rule from Senet'tu.
