The red fox is the largest of the foxes, and commonly seen in forests across Aetheria. It tends more strongly towards a carnivorous diet, and is skilled at adapting to new environments, both traits that tend to bring it into contact with civilization.

Anatomy

Red foxes have elongated bodies, short limbs, and long, fluufy tails that may measure more than half the body length. The skull is narrow and elongated, with long eyeteeth. A fox's fur tends to be long, dense, and soft, becoming thicker and fluffier during the winter. As befits their name, the fur of red foxes tends to be brick red with yellowish tints. The ears and paws as usually dark gray or black, and the tail has a white or black tip.
