Across a crystal-veined continent that hummed beneath the primordial Pacific, this founding protorace learned to fold cosmic energy through stone, to speak mind-to-mind across an entire landmass, and to live in such intimacy with the living world that the boundary between builder and built dissolved entirely. For twelve thousand years Lemuria flowered as a society of consensus and communion, until the strains of ambition and interspecies experiment fractured it. The Sundering of 38,000 BC drowned the continent beneath the waves, but its survivors — extracted and refined by the Elders — would rise again as the Atlanteans, and its wisdom would echo through every human civilization that followed.

The Lemurian continent occupied much of what is now the Pacific Ocean, a vast landmass gathering in parts of present-day Australia, Southeast Asia, and countless island chains.
