A bear skinchanger. He is in the service of Radogast, and was following the party on his behalf. He got into an altercation with the party in the woods outside Bychii Brod because he held them responsible for the death of his son, Mikhailo. After killing Leontii and some back and forth, Hrefna was able to convince him that the responsibility for Mikhailo's attack on young Oleg Rurikovich lay with the priests of Perun, and his wrath should be directed at them. Potap appeared to accept this explanation, and walked away.
