A talking raven
This raven was encountered sitting upon the doomstone near the heathen temple in the Otherworld. After being addressed by Plamen, the raven told him that the Otherworld contained no towns, but only small settlements scattered in the woods. He further related that only Baba Yaga and her servitors - the Red, white and black riders, went by the doomstone.
The raven was left to peck at the stone. The companions never spoke to him again.
