Seremi

Telling from documentations the Seremi are an invasive species from The Wilderness. When they first were sighted by Lucemi they nearly started a natural catastrophe. They have unstillable hunger, eat almost everything living and they breed enourmously fast when enough food is available. They've numerous legs, gaining more with size and their soft body is covered with hairs that are venomous. The Lucemi had to make great efforts to collect all the Seremi when they appeared, breaking through with isolating them when it was found that they're easily lurable with Lapita, which they love to gnaw. When fed with Lapita they grow larger, their hair grows stiffer, can grow considerably longer and becomes a golden shimmer.

Luckily some bright masks experimented with the hairs and found their exceptional attributes. It would've been a shame, if the Seremi were extinct before some were catched for breeding. We would miss a lot highly durable products like ropes, cloth and armor. The problem about breeding them is their explosive population, hunger and venomous nature too. You always have to balance how much you feed them carefully, either they are thousands in a few days, then you have to either kill a lot or they will eat one another, or they will not grow properly or starve. To grow their hair to the needed long strains you need to let a controlled population grow big, let their hair grow and then harvest it. To further process it, it's needed to beat off the thin spikes with venom on their surface.

The longest fibres with best quality are used for textile industry, on the broad mainly for military usages in cloth armor, as it is very lightweight and offers a good protection to their resitant nature. Usually only Conri and some renevable Honri are honored with these. Seldomly the highest quality is used for art, sturdy armors and fine clothing, this is what smaller fibres are used for. Small snippets are used as filling material.
