Atupun

The God's Eye

It was in this moment, when High Mentor Petir Preemi and me climbed into the snowy peaks of the Mountains of Edi, packed into thick coats, the winds howling around the cliffs, when we felt a rush of vitality and joy. We came for the ruins of the Senemi and got blessed by the gods. Mentor Preemi, knowing from lore what he has to look for, pointed to Atupun in the sky, which emitted gloomy, golden light and shortly after the whole of Edi, laying to our feet, began to shine in the shimmering light of the Torami. I will never forget the richness of the following time.
— Journal of Damir Grabemi
Atupun is a fascinating black spot in the nightsky, reported to rarely, sometimes once in decades, sometimes once in centuries, radiate a soft glooming golden light, starting a cascade of weird phenomena. These are amongst others the:
  • Luce'torami,
  • Inspired and stronger Emi having foreign dreams
  • Ami awakening and forming new attributes and features
It starts a time of sprawling nature, wisdom, joy and strong children, some of my greatest accomplishments followed the time I witnessed it. You can even find depictions of it in the remains of the Senemi. I wish I could unravel some more mysteries around Atupun, but for this it probably would need to open up once more in my live, which sadly is unlikely.
Atupun circles our world periodically and seems to be somehow locked to us or our sun, it only changes size in a small margin, but seems to be of tremendous size, so the average distance to it has to stay the same. Despite that fact nobody seems to have achieved to gain a clue about the period of the event of the Opening of the eye.

It is an unpredictable event, but this doesn't stop the Lucemi to start celebrating the times coming around Edi when Atupun opens.

Deriving from the effects it's light has and the, to our minds, evasive nature of Atupun I'm certain it's the gods' blessing eye that looks upon and forms their lands.
