Keepers of the Oldest

"May we, the Keepers of the Oldest, prevail over the scourge of the simplistic thought and lesser men."
  The Keepers of the Oldest was a cult located in Carrion Hill devoted to the worship of the Outer God Yog-Sothoth.

Members

The Keeper's members include(d):
  • Keeper Glem Baskerwhel - a local swamp druid just outside the city, local potion maker, and was know to visit Arlen Hyve when coming into town (deceased)
  • Keeper Waldur Crove - warden of the Crove Asylum (deceased)
  • Keeper Arlend Hyve - a local sage of old lore and lives in an abandoned church of Aroden on Elm Way in the southside of town, having lived there for the last 15 years (deceased)
  • Keeper Sulm Marshan - merchant that moved to the city two years prior from the town of Illmarsh, suspected skum-tainted (deceased)
  • Keeper Rupman Myre - main producer of the ever present middenstone, suspected of practicing illegal necromancy

General

The Keepers were responsible for summoning a strange, powerful, invisible creature called "the Spawn of Yog-Sothoth", which then killed Baskerwhel and Marshan, and began destroying various sites around town, seemingly to be searching for something. It was determined that the creature is most likely hunting its summoners in order to capture their essence, which was used in the ritual to summon it. It eventually was also able to kill Baskerwhel and Hyve, but was eventually bound the Star Moit when the Fellowship used an unconscious Myre as a lure.
