Vissite

The Vissite are an ethnic group from the planet Visser. They are the descendants of peoples that migrated to Visser from all across human space, as the planet is far easier to reach than the fabled Union of Radical Transhumanists. This means the Vissites are made up of a great number of cultures and ethnicities, all of which have found a place to evolve across the planet. The planet is seen as a bastion of independence and tolerance, with full equality laws across all alien species. It is impossible to truly define a Vissite, as they come in - often literally - all shapes and sizes. A large part of the Vissites are transhumanist, and have modified their bodies with genetic modification or mechanical augmentation. It is the homeworld of the weird and the unusual, where all may live in equal communities and be themselves. Much of Visser's surface is uninhabitable, and radioactive, and so most of the population either lives in safe city settlements, or underground. As much of the inhabited parts of Visser are shrouded in permanent twilight, it's flora and fauna have adopted bioluminescent traits. In an attempt to use Visser's natural features to their advantage, many genetically modified humans have adapted this bioluminescent, becoming a uniquely alien group of humans.
