Baladi Asghar

Hon. Baladi Asghar

Baladi Asghar (born 2249) is a Dirjan politician and the 6th State Speaker of Cinu, elected in 2305. An anthropologist by trade, Asghar served as the Dirjan Representative between 2286-2396. He also served as part of the Cinu Peacekeeping force, active during the Interregnum, where he became close friends and political allies with the future Cinu Ambassador, Amir Al-Malham   Unlike traditional Cinuan politics, which for the past 20 years have advocated for neutral and isolationist policies, Asghar has emphasized Cinu's neutrality does not mean they cannot be great friends. His political dream is a more influential Cinu that can prove itself a bastion of liberty and prosperity, something that won him the 2305 election against odds.   Ashgar was born in the city of Dirja, and like many Cinuans, suffered under the economic collapse of the 50s. As a young adult, he joined the Dirjan Resistance, which eventually became part of the Majlis Alhuriya. He became a household name after his participation in the trial of Çetin Üllasuli, becoming the face of Dirjan politics. As the Dirjan Representative to the Cinuan Assembly, he spoke out against the stagnant political environment and a lack of influence on the galactic stage. This won him the popularity of the people, through which he was elected to serve as the 6th Cinuan State Speaker.
