Deity of Wood Ursa (a.k.a. The Forest Guardian)
The mighty bear deity, Ursa is said to have split his heart in two and planted half within the soil from which he rose. The half he buried is supposedly the very seed that grew into the massive Hearthhollow and the worlds forests.
Born from the mighty Hearthhollow tree in Timberland, Ursa is the Deity of Wood. The overly large bear appeared to be covered in moss and small wildflowers rather than fur, though he did in actuality have green fur. The forest came to life with his blessing, becoming an entity all its own.
The druids found power in Ursa’s favor, as did some clerics. Ursa’s power, Call of the Wild, created plant copies of himself, ensnaring and destroying those it did. Daecan, a firbolg, was one of the druids who found themselves at home in Timberland. After gaining Ursa’s favor, Elder Daecan founded the Ursarian Druidic Circle, alongside his best friend, a drow named Verious. Daecan, with the help of his druid brethren, created the temple where he lived. Ursa sleeps a lot, but lightly, when it’s dark. Sunlight gives him energy.
