Born of Fire, Born for Steel

Twenty-three years ago a pair of adventurers found an infant fire genasi while exploring the City of Mists. Although not without personal sacrifice, the adventurers managed to escape the Mists with the infant safely in their care.
Now, over two decades later, Omynae Hardpike has embraced not only the former adventurers as her parents, but their profession and their religion as her own. Bolstered by her natural affinity for fire, Omynae has been sneaking into the Forge to steal borrow her fathers' tools since practically before she was big enough to lift them.
Her fathers instilled in her a deep respect for the deities of fire; both for their livelihoods and for the blessing of bringing her into their lives. It is perhaps because of this that the very act of creation is a form of worship, making the forge both temple and home. Is it her skill and dedication that earned her the attention and blessings of the elemental fire deities her family worships? Or do they perhaps have some grander plan?

The Fire of Adventure Cannot Be Quenched

Fulfilled by the love of her fathers and satisfaction of her craft, Onymae cannot quite find true contentment within the confines of the Forge and the Guild. Some part of her will always wonder where she came from, what was it in the Mists that injured Kari so badly, and was it retribution for stealing her like some of the other smiths in forge whisper?
Even more so, she is drawn to the thrill of adventure, and the mysteries contained in the Mists. Despite her fathers' strict orders to the contrary, Onymae has begun to seek jobs as an adventurer. She is fascinated by the stories of artifacts and components that might be found in the wilds of the Reach, excited by the idea of the legendary things she could create with such materials.
The extra money earned by taking jobs from Eira Bloodmane certainly doesn't hurt either.

Although she often follows her father's lead in using the name Igni, her dedication is to the elemental essence itself, not a specific personified deity.
