Game Chapter: Introduction

Prologue

Group of orphaned children in a small shared bedroom, they are cleaning up and setting the room. When the door open an adult gets in, they check each area and each area checked, the kids are put in bed.   After making their verifications, the adult takes a book and sits in a visible spot to read the folk tale of Fated Cards. Fade to black to show the hero of the book in a fight.

  •   Fade to black when the combat ends, the kids are sleeping and the adult looks around before getting up and putting the book back in place. When the adult leaves the room, it fades to black with an announcement of time passed and the game name.  

    Beginning

    At the end of the prologue, the protagonist is leaving the orphanage. As the last one of the orphans, the caretaker asks the protagonist to take care, giving them a parting gift, they also say that he slowly lost contact with the others and the protagonist should search for their siblings. (Item received: Basic Fated cards)

    First Quest

    Looking for a place to stay, protagonist is turned from certain places for being a jinxer. Ends up in The Tavern, uses the last of coins to rent a room. Can listen to some conversations and get new cards. Must go to sleep to continue.

  •   Protagonist takes breakfast and the Tavernkeeper gives them a set of old weapons in exchange to solving the rat problems. After breakfast, takes own luck. (Story quest received: Malign Rodents!) (Itens received: Old quarterstaff and kitchen gloves)

  •   When the protagonist loses, show them sighing before getting up to try and "shake up the bad luck", can sit down and draw again. When the protagonist wins, gets happy and goes out of the tavern, "executing their fate".
