Lu Xiuying
Lu Xiuying, born Lu Hua to a farming family in Dian Province, joined the Haonan Sect at the age of seven, when her family grew too large for them to feed all the mouths. She was already skilled with movement and had started to develop a knack for general hunting, so the Haonan Sect was happy to take her on.
Once she got started on forming her golden core, she advanced rapidly; she is considered something of a prodigy among the other Haonan disciples.
Because she joined the Haonan Sect when she was young, she became an Inner Disciple at the age of 14, when she was first allowed to go night-hunting with her peers, without supervision of a senior disciple. The Haonan Sect is rather more relaxed than most sects when it comes to their ranking system, and not a family/clan-run sect, there was no issue with her being named an inner disciple.
Her focus as a cultivator has been mostly on night-hunting, and she still remembers starting her life on the farm, and how sometimes there was very little food available, because of issues with both weather and with Shenxian and Yaomoguiguai. As a result, she tends to go into regions at the very edges of Haonan territory whenever she can, and has even wandered the edges of the Forbidden Zone - Jindi at times, in order to make certain that things are still safe for humans there.
