Matter

In every atom, there is a reflection of the whole.

Matter (Matière in French) is a Radical Noun representing the similarly named stratum of Matter, residing under the stratum of Reality and above the stratum of Mind. It encompasses every magical elements related to the physical world.
  The stratum of matter have the unique attribute of being able to blend its Elemental nouns together in order to create new Compound or Deepened ones.


 

Linguomancy

Matter is a noun that refers to the physical, tangible world. Nouns from the Stratum of Matter are the simplest to learn, and are usually the first Nouns that novices will learn. They are often used by non-Sapient lifeforms.
  The Nouns from the Matter Stratum bear the singular property of being able to merge together in order to create new, emergent Nouns. The Noun of Matter is created by encompassing every base and possible combination.
 

Elemental Nouns

Elemental Nouns represent the core energies of the material world. They serve as the fundamental building blocks within the Matter Stratum, combining two to form a new Noun. Blending three or more nouns is not possible in modern Wordsmithing, and results in failure.

Reaction

Reaction (Réaction in French) is a nuance of Matter centered around the collision of atoms ; altering their structure and releasing energy in the process. Through the fusion and fission of subatomic particles, intense force can alter properties and create devastating attacks.
 

Transmutation

Transmutation is a nuance of Matter referring to the practice of transforming matter. It specializes in abilities such as altering the appearance and composition of matter, shapeshifting, metamorphosis, fusion and duplication.
 

Gravity

Gravity (Gravité in French) is a nuance of Matter focused on manipulating the fundamental gravitational interaction ; altering the mass of physical elements and influencing the attraction created by gravitational pulls.
 

Motion

Motion (Mouvement in French) is a nuance of Matter specialized on the handling of kinetic energy. It allows feats such as the suspension of velocity, paralysis and regulating the interaction of movement.
