Shapeshift (Changeforme)
Life ain't easy when you can't chose who you want to be.Shapeshift (Changeforme in French) is an idiom smithed by merging the noun of Matter with the verb Become.
The caster changes its physical form and assumes a new shape. This idiom lasts as long as it is maintained. Upcasting the idiom changes the possible shapes the caster is allowed to take. Without upcasting, the form the caster shapeshifts into can only be of the same average mass, with a 10 kg approximation margin. When shapeshifted, the caster changes its Hit Points, Strength, Constitution and Dexterity Ability Scores to match that of the form it shapeshifts as. The Presence, Anchor and Signature Ability Scores adapt accordingly. The new form is the average example of the creature or item ; its Ability scores matching this average. Its senses are also matched, like night vision, ability to speak or breathing underwater. It also retains its Wordsmithing Level and Expertise. The caster can choose if the things they are wearing either merge with the new form, fall on the ground or are worn by the new shape. Equipment conserves its size, and the game master can decide if the equipment is too inconvenient to be used in the new form. If that is the case, the equipment either must be merged or fall on the ground. Merged equipment has no effect and can't be used when shapeshifted. The caster can change their shape again at any time while this idiom is being maintained. If the new form has more HP than the old one, its HP is carried over. Equipment cannot be merged or unmerged this way. When reverting to the old form, the caster regains the HP, Ability Scores and senses it had. Merged equipment also unmerges. If this reversion happened because the caster reached 0 HP, excess damage transfers to the normal form.
