Yaskwol Manor

Storied building home to the Yaskwol Merchant House.

Azar was frightened by the imposing structure made of large stone bricks, nothing like his village. Was he really going to be working here under the logistician? Suddenly the clothes on his back seemed like rags and his knowledge of math vanished. This building was older than his grandfather he thought.
"You can do anything you set your mind to Azar, truly you are gifted. You aren't meant to work the land like me and your father. Use that head you have."
With this memory he found the courage to enter the building.

Purpose / Function

The building was originally built to house the family in charge of Wysix county. The building was large mostly as an extravagance.
Yaskwol Manor currently serves as the headquarters for the Yaskwol Merchant House. The large building now holds documents, goods, meetings, and capital.

Alterations

After it's capture in battle a fence was built around the manor within the property to defend the military headquarters. The extensive repairs by the Yaskwol Merchant House restored the building mostly to the original design except a warehouse and additional stable were added.

History

Construction began in the spring of 148RB and completed in the summer of 149RB. The building remained in the hands of the original owner until 157RB when a neighboring county took over Wysix. The offensive force was large and well prepared; the battle was short and the staff was taken prisoner but the owners managed to escape. The building served as the operational headquarters for the invasionary force until the end of the war.
The building was returned to the owner's son in 168RB when Wysix was returned to the map by an agreement of the counties of Grara. The building was abandoned in favor of one closer to the city in 300RB and was uninhabited until 21EX when it was purchased for only a single coin by the Yaskwol Merchant House.
The building underwent heavy repairs and has been continuously owned and operated by the Yaskwol Merchant House since that time.
