Demographics

The people of Swinefall are mostly human with a few tengu.

Government

Swinefall is only loosely controlled by Burim and are required to pay taxes to the nation. However, it works differently within the town. The wealthiest merchant in the village, Farun Toria, pays all of the taxes for the city. In exchange, the people provide them with resources to trade.

Industry & Trade

The people of Swinefall have never given up their tradition of hunting and continue it to this day as an important source of food. Though in recent years they have begun farming larger areas of land. Gathering the foods of the surrounding woods still helps the community fill specific nutritional needs.
Hides and leather goods are a boon to the community as they have a large trade value to passing merchants.

Infrastructure

Swinefall has a small skyport and several reservoirs. There is only one small forest trail that leads to the village, it is rarely used and overgrown.

History

Once a group of hunters were chasing some boars through the woods when they cornered them on an outcropping extending out into the endless sky. Instead of being slaughtered, the boars ran off the edge of the island and fell into the Floor below. The hunters who found the outcropping found it to be a good and safe location and soon the village was founded. Soon the many small groups in the area converged and the village grew as they found higher productivity in a large group.

Architecture

The structures of Swinefall are primarily constructed from logs bark. The dwellings are large and often home to several families.

Geography

The village borders the edge of the island and is otherwise surrounded by forest.
