Frozen Barrens

The frozen barrens is the domain of Euris being furthest from Lind and closest to the void causes the shard to have a biting cold.

Geography

The stronghold of Wintertide is the only structure or feature of note present in the barrens, and the shard is often used by fairies to refer to the entire shard. The rest of the shard is a frozen tundra cloaked in a eternal darkness and ice.

Ecosystem

The fairies of the court of winter live their entire lives in the stronghold of Wintertide. The barrens themselves are inhabited by creatures of cold, darkness, and evil that seem to almost creep into existence.

Localized Phenomena

The barrens are cloaked in freezing cold and blowing winds creating an almost perpetual blizzard over the shard. Normal creatures caught in the freezing nights of the barrens will slowly freeze solid, but not dying. Instead they will live an existence of torment being trapped within their unmoving body until freed.
