Darkmoor

The Darkmoor is a desolate land where death reigns supreme. Here The Harbinger dwells within his ruined hall. The court of Autumn cares not for the denizens of the realm nor the lands under their control. The mire bubbles and stirs with malicious intent serving more as punishment for enemies, or a trap for trespassers, in the domain rather than a kingdom.

Geography

Darkmoor is a foul smelling swamp cloaked in dark mists. Here all things taken on an aspect of death and decay. Trees forever rotting away. Loose unfertile soil and brackish waters.

Ecosystem

Nothing lives in Darkmoor everything is stuck in a state of decay as though the entire shard is withering away. The fairies of the autumn court live among the edges of the shard. The influences from the Burning Steepe and Roaring Peaks have changed them from beings of the court to mischievous tricksters. Roh has no love of his denizens and allows them to do as they please often leaving for Lind to reek havoc.

Localized Phenomena

The longer a mortal spends in the heart of Darkmoor the closer to death they become. The shard will never allow them to die as death is its master gift alone to give. Mortals that visit Darkmoor will often look more aged or sickly if they are able to return to Lind. Some even die, if they've spent too much time in the dismal shard.
