The Xhan Calendar

The Xhan calendar is the calendar used by the M.H.D., the F.vI., the I.I.S., and the E.M.A.. Developed by the Xhan of Daenang, it was accepted by all nations except the P.K.M., which makes use of the Draconix Calendar.   Each month of the Xhan calendar is broken into three tendays. Depending on which tenday, the preface 'Fu' is replaced with Tap, Mir, or Chaup respectively. Thus the first Fu'Bea (or second day) of a month is Tap'Bea, the second Fu'Shivia (or fifteenth day) of a month is Mir'Shivia, and the third Fu'Harsa (or twenty ninth day) of a month is Chaup'Harsa.   Dates may be rendered as the numeral or the proper name, such as 11 Derodik or Mir'Tian Derodik.   Niyap is not a month in a traditional sense, but rather four days appended to the end of the year, during which the winter solstice occurs. Those days are prefaced with Ni, becoming Ni'Tian, Ni'Bea, Ni'Ele, and Ni'Gava.
