The People's South Cemetary (mæʔotʃɒːnk zɒːt uːbliːtʃ)
The poverty of the People’s Ward displays itself throughout the streets, but perhaps no more than Mautz'onk Zot'ublitz, or the People’s South Cemetary. With no means to pay for any burial services, and so many vagabonds with no family to speak of, many–in fact, most–people are brought to an open field and left to the elements. Initially, bodies were left in shallow graves, but as the ground became saturated in corpses, they were left on the surface.
The area has been fenced off, a statue dragged to one end of the field to watch over the lost and forgotten souls, and the stench of death often travels long distances, depending on the wind. Recently, a fire of unknown origin has cremated most of the corpses on the surface, a fire that spread to some of the nearby buildings.
