Fighter

The Fighter kitsune is one of the three Kitsune species. They are primarily known for their tactical abilities, hence the name. They're known employ hit and run tactics as fast, light fighters. In battle, their power over fire and lightning allows them to cause extensive damage, BUT they are fairly weak on durability. An attacker could get at their tails or just rip them to shreds in a prolonged, one on one battle. They're most effective as agents of chaos, acting almost like special forces. They can infiltrate their enemy's lines, cause great damage, and retreat to safety.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Fighter Kitsunes have three main abilities, in addition to their species shape shifting capabilities.
  1. Limited Invisibility
  2. Fire Power
  3. Lightning Power

Invisibility

A Fighter's invisibility is total. They cease to be visible, but only so long as they are concentrating. Much as their form slips when their concentration slips, the same applies to their invisibility. It'll begin to weaken with a visible shimmer and then they'll become physically visible. For younger kitsunes, they are only able to make themselves invisible. Middling kitsunes can cause moderate sized objects to disappear with them. Elder kitsunes can hide multiple people altogether.   The biggest limitation of this ability is that they cannot actively engage in combat. Use of fire, lightning, or hand to hand capabilities will generally break their invisibility. Intense movement can be difficult to do while under cloak.

Fire

Fire is a Kitsune's main weapon for fighting. They are able to produce intense flames anywhere on their body. These flames can be thrown in the form of fireballs, painted on the ground, and so on. Their power over flames cast off from their bodies is more limited. Generally they must be able to touch the flame to have full influence, or be within arms reach. That said, what power they have over such flames is near total, though diminishes with the distance of the flame.

Lightning

The power over lightning comes essentially in two forms. They are able to generate electrical charges, in much the same way as fire: anywhere that touches them. In a lose sense, they can control the charge, allowing them to create mere static shocks that fry phones straight up to arcs of power shooting from their palms. These are however, more limited. It takes time and energy to summon lightning. They have less ability with it than with fire. If they are immobile, they can create a charge imbalance in the ground, that will summon lightning down from the atmosphere, a bigger blast than they could manage on their own.

Limitations

These abilities very in intensity with the age of the kitsune. Younger kitsunes will have greater difficulty with them. The flame and lightning abilities pose a risk to the Kitsune. While they are highly flame-resistant, they are not safe from their own heat with sufficiently prolonged or intense amounts. The same goes for their lightning abilities. Despite being able to cast lightning, they are not immune to electricity. They are resistant to the heat of the lightning leaving their palms. Tasers for example, will effect them, just to a lesser extent than a regular human. They will recover faster. Potentially, a 7+ tail kitsune could have the experience and skill to counter an electrical attack, by absorbing and channeling the energy. Younger kitsunes would not have these abilities.
