For daily prayers to Baltar, one takes a closed fist and strike the opposite side of the chest, possibly with a bow. This also serves as a sign of respect between fellow combatants and athletes, with the depth of the bow reflecting the level of respect.
The full motions of prayer to Baltar is to close both fists and to cross and strike them loudly onto ones chest, followed by bowing ones head. The more common, abbreviated motion is to use only one closed fist, striking the opposite side of the chest, possibly with a bow, which has also become commonly used as a symbol of respect between athletes, opponents on the field of battle, or even of fealty.
