Genemorph

Genemorph is a broad category of bioengineered human-hybrid species, including Lupamorphs, Felinamorphs and Ignimorphs. Genemorphs were created primarily for utility, and though their indentured use has been outlawed since E2.Y411, many Genemorphs still work in the industries they were designed for, whether by choice or circumstance. To qualify as a Genemorph, a Sophont must fulfill three conditions.

Designed for industrial use (created by corporate genetic engineering)
Reproduce to type (i.e. breed true)
Constitute a complete species (as opposed to an individual or small group)

Genemorphs were originally created by corporate genetic engineering projects, to replace Machine Intelligence following the Sophonic Machine Act. They were designed for loyalty, utility, and in the case of some, aesthetic appearance. Genemorphs on a whole constitute large segment of the Libertan population, but remain the subjects of large prejudice that makes their lives difficult. This has contributed to their pervasive presence in anti-Symposium organisations such as the Ea Syndicate and on the outside of society.
