The two suns
Levis exists as a continent on a planet. That planet exists in a solar system (containing 14 planets). And 'core' to that solar system is the star Morticia. The planet containing Levis circles this orange dwarf, one half of the solar system and centre to the cosmology of the place. Morticia's 'lover' is Debron, a dense red dwarf that sits in the outer half of the orbit, dragging through the sky.
While Morticia dominates the day sky, Debron streaks the planet with brief moments of heightened sunlight.
Because of its classification - the planet experiences darker main parts of the day, and deeper nights, though Debron brings patches of extreme brightness, or day-nights, thus a passing knowledge of space is inherent in all inhabitants of the planet.
The most startling feature astronomers have found on Morticia is a massive dull spot, a starberry stain, on the surface of this gorgeous sun.
(Include something on seasons)
Across the planet (including parts on other continents), Morticia and Debron are often seen as many things, but mostly as objects in a tug of war type relationship. In Levis it was often mythologised that the stars were tempetuous lovers, often fighting and then making up, destined never to find peace lest the planet be consumed in fire.
Buildings across Levis often have thick blind-type materials that can be hung over the windows, in Natare , this is often a thick padding of Greshire that can be curled over the windows when a bright night is going to occur.
