March Articles 2026
New year, new DemonGrey challenge. Official goal 100 words a day (unofficial goal 10k in the month :P). Demongrey's challenges have always set a fire up my rear and this year is again a way of setting off on that glorious challenge.
So from here things got a little less organised. Life was crazy and now on the 1st of April I am left trying to reconstruct my failure.
Last year was much more successful and I hope next year is less of a mess.
:s
Day 1
We're starting with another chipping away at the god of blood and stone, getting some words down to take them from mid 2025 quality to early 2026 quality. Hoping this to be something to enjoy.Day 2
Currently working on the humans as they were before they were kicked out. Procrastinated late into the night here, and deathly afraid of contradiction, but as the article numbers grow, that becomes more common along with redundancy.Days 3, 4 and 5
Tuesday was my day off, and while I got a great idea for further brainstorming later this month, I had to seek a friend out to get the idea for day 3. Day 4 was a migraine and the second half of this article. while day 5 saw a determination to defeat this near 900 word article.Day6
Worked on two articles this time, a little buffing of the Sunken Isles, and a new law based on El Nino.Day 7 and 8
Bitten in the ass, trying to get a jarrah bookcase up after a recent move, and then of course had to fill it, so these two days were working on an instrument idea I had linked and thought of during the music era (will probs return to that later), Tumblr link if you're curiousDay 9 and 10
More suit stuff to work around, with this plant being worked on into the next day.Day 11
So many thing to get done, but decided to extrapolate on a problem I've brought up in several articles. Feeling pretty good about the rate of writing this month, though with less troughs there are less peaks in my writing amount.Day 12
With Nincho's art coming in, and a little left in the tank after, I got an update on Aranthme's appearance and a little update on the Sunken Isles page. While the Isles need something more than just what the things on the isles are, that might come with either prompting or inspiration, both of which haven't happened there yet.Day 13
Little bit of a speedy but sad update, I know bits of what I wanted to finally create this article on the 'first human' of the project, but when I got to writing it was only really a recap of the things You know, not of the hidden secrets yet to be revealed (or cut completely from Thalia's story)Day 14 (and a little Day 16)
This day and finishing off two days later came from the discord chat - I was out of Ideas and the chat (Crabaro) provided me with this.Day 15
So the flash challenge came out and chat once again helped me (Demongrey) and I kind of deep dived without even getting into depth of why they are villainous yet.Day 16
Mainly finishing off, and getting a few minutes of tweaking on a certain Natare project to be revealed soon.So from here things got a little less organised. Life was crazy and now on the 1st of April I am left trying to reconstruct my failure.
Day 17 and 19
The wordcounts of these two days are just over a 100, as life was hitting me quite squarely in the kidneysDay 18
A good solid look into the area around Saburra and beyond, and a little bit of inspiration.Day 20
Turns out you really don't want to write after a funeral, no matter how connected you are. But this of course let the 'get to it later' demons in.Day 21 and Day 22
Unlike many of the two parters, to call March 21 a writing day would be insincere. I started wanting to write, but was fading fast. That I fell down a writing and research hole the next day to do a solid 500 was more determination to just have one to 1.5 blips in the court of this challenge. That would not be the case.Day 23 and 24
By here things were still salvagable for my 10k monthly goal, we started the horned bison article and gave levis mammals a new boy.Day 25 to Day 31: Recording of the days is terrible here all I can say is while I released a couple of nice articles, the end of the month was not affective.
Last year was much more successful and I hope next year is less of a mess.

It is only day 13 and you published this. I am doing this as long as you, also with 100 words per day. And I haven’t finished a single article. You are amazing!
