Personal history

~Spoilers for Champion Of Olympus~     Leonidas was born in secret to a demigod daughter of Athena named Sara and the God Heracles.   Leonidas was trained from the young age of four to be the strongest demigod in history. When he was a boy his mother was killed by a horde of attacking Monsters, leaving him a homeless orphan with nowhere to go. So he set out to travel to the edges of the country in order to train his min and body, set on his self-appointed task to kill the God of War Ares in order to bring peace, love and stabilization to the world.      When Leonidas was sixteen he met a kind farming family named the Johnsons who took him in as their son. While with the family he met and fell for their daughter, Mary. She and Leonidas didn't have long together, however, because once again Fate was not kind to the Son of Heracles. Mary, her younger brother and her parents, were all killed by a group of humans.      Once again Leonidas was alone, and now dead-set to invade Olympus withe the goal to kill the Gods in order to usher in a new era of peace and love in the world. After traveling to Maine, Leonidas, stricken with pain and a dying body caused by his immense power, met a mysterious young woman named Emily who nursed him back to health. Soon Emily was revealed to the the thought-dead Titaness Eos.      Over the next few years, Eos and Leonidas fell in love and soon, Eos was expecting a child. After their daughter, Astraea, was born, Leonidas set out to infiltrate Camp Half-Blood in order to steal the Golden Fleece in order to try to save the life of his dying wife Eos and their child.     On one of his travels, Leonidas attacked and killed a dozen Hunters of Artemis in order to lure out and capture the Goddess and her brother, the God of Medicine, Apollo, in order to exchange Artemis' safe return for Apollo to heal Eos and Astraea.     Sometime later Leonidas encountered the Hunters again, but this time they were assisted by the Son of Poseidon Percy Jackson. The two did battle until Leonidas learned who they were and stopped his attack. Months later Percy returned to Camp only to find Leonidas already living there.     Over the next few months the two became close friends and brothers.      But one day Leonidas' secret was discovered by the Camp and the War Council decided to attempt to capture and imprison him for information on the upcoming Promised Day that foretold the Gods losing their powers, suspecting that Leonidas was going to attack Olympus that day.  But the demigods of Camp Half-Blood were not prepared to defeat the Titaness-powered son of Heracles and soon Leonidas fled Camp after killing two Campers in the process and wounding a pregnant Annabeth.     Having returned to his home with Eos and Astraea, Leonidas soon encountered Percy, Thalia and two Hunters who had managed to track him down in order to talk. Leonidas apologized for harming the Campers and Annabeth and swore that he would help assist the demigods in defending Olympus on the Promised Day from the Monsters and Titans. Percy soon agreed that Zeus needed to be removed from the Throne, by any means necessary after ordering his death and sacrificing countless demigods in the last major battle.  So the two demigods decided to unite together in order to protect Olympus and kill Zeus.      Later, Leonidas traveled across the sea to meet his father, Lord Heracles for the first time. The two reluctantly did battle, forced to fight by the Fates. Leonidas barely emerged the victor.      Once the Promised Day arrived, Leonidas teamed up with Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter and the remaining Hunters of Artemis in order to protect Olympus and the world. Leaving the others to defend the city, Leonidas and Percy ascended Mount Olympus in order to be the last line of defense. Soon Olympus came under attack from the Titans and Monsters. During the battle, Leonidas fought Lord Zeus, leaving him mortally wounded before rejoining the fight.      With the last Titans and Monsters killed, the war was over, but the vengeful and paranoid Zeus used his last dying breaths to fire his Master Bolt at Leonidas, killing him. In revenge and anger, Percy killed the King of the Gods before going to Leonidas' side as he died.      With his last dying breaths, Leonidas asked Percy to travel to his and Eos' home and take in their daughter, Astraea, and adopt her. Percy quickly agreed before Leonidas drew his last breath.      In tears over her lost love, Eos, using her Domain over the Stars, created a Constellation of them in the stars named 'The Lovers'. She then Faded into the Void beyond the world, leaving Leonidas once again alone in death.

Education

Leonidas received no formal education having never attended school, but he received home-schooling from his mother, a daughter of Athena. Despite this, Leonidas is extremely intelligent.
