Eos

Titaness of the Dawn, Mother of the Wind and Stars

Eos is the Titaness of the Dawn, and a daughter of Hyperion and Theia. She and her siblings Helios (the Sun) and Selene (the Moon) were amongst the second-generation Titans. Her Roman counterpart is Aurora.   Eos is the wife of the mortal demigod son of Heracles, Leonidas, and the mother of the demi-titan Astraea Dione Reed-Jackson.

History

Eos was born to Hyperion and Theia. She remained neutral in the First Titan War, and, as such, she was among the few Titans who were not banished to Tartarus. Eos rose up into the sky from the world-encircling river Oceanus at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night. She was said to open the gates of heaven for her brother Helios, so that he could pass with the Sun Chariot. As her brother was faded, it is possible that Eos currently opens the gates for Apollo.

The Curse of Eos

Aphrodite placed a curse upon Eos because she had slept with Ares. This curse filled her heart with constant passion, causing her to fall in love with a train of handsome men.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Eos is often described to be incomprehensibly beautiful and enchanting. She is often seen wearing a long dress or gown made out of the colors of the sunrise, with hundreds of shades of pink, red, yellow and purple along with stars and constellations swirling on the fabric.  She often wears her very long strawberry-blonde hair in a crown on top of her head, beautiful pink and golden wildflowers and roses interwoven in the strands.   While at her cabin with Leonidas she wears more comfortable clothing, often sporting a pink blouse or sundress that portrays a beautiful artistic depiction of the sunrise.

Personal history

History:   Eos rose up into the sky from the world-encircling river Oceanus at the start of each day, and with her rays of light dispersed the mists of night. She was sometimes depicted riding in a golden chariot drawn by winged horses, at other times she was shown borne aloft by her own pair of wings.     After the death of her brother, sister and mother, Eos traveled the world in search of herself. On her journey opening the Gates of Heaven for Apollo to ride his Sun Chariot across the sky, Eos discovered a vast wilderness across the sea and settled on a small peninsula that received the first sunrise of the land.   This place was later discovered by mortals and the other Titans and Gods, and later named West Quoddy Head, Maine, United States.     Eos lived in her small, stone and grass-roofed fairytale cabin for centuries in solitude, with the outside world and the other Titans and Gods believing that she has Faded into the Void.  As the centuries passed, Eos eventually discovered a young mortal demigods son of Heracles, named Leonidas, wandering the countryside and soon became infatuated with him.   As time went on Eos began to lure him to her cabin, and, when he finally entered her woods and was attacked by dozens of Monsters on the brink of death, she appeared and saved his life. Leonidas, in return saved her immediately after before succumbing to his injuries.     Over the next several years, Eos and Leonidas, who had only originally joined together to gain a lover or power, respectively, fell into mutual love. And soon, they married in private at her cabin at sunrise. Then, eventually, Eos became pregnant and before they knew it, had delivered a beautiful, albeit weak and sickly, mortal demi-titan girl. Astraea Dione Reed.     Eos inevitably Faded into the Void on the Promised Day after for husband, Leonidas, was slain by a dying Zeus. With her last dying moments, Eos used her powers over the stars to create a constellation of herself and Leonidas in a tight embrace, naming it The Lovers before passing.
