Asmodai
Asmodai are along with their Ishima cousins, the native peoples of Surinor. Having been on the island for as long as they can remember the two races have fought. Earth and sea are the domains of the Asmodai as their two distinct peoples the Oni & Lilim are distinctly suited to those terrains.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Oni are large figures standing between six and seven feet tall with broad muscled frames and long sharp horns protruding from their heads. They have thick based tails coming out from the base of their spine that gives them something of a stooped appearance when walking properly on their massive hoofed legs. Their skin colors range from reds, blues, browns and blacks but always in dark shades to match their dark eyes. Messy mops of hair come in similar dark shades although occasionally a bright hue will crop up this is definitely the genetic oddity.
Lilim are very similar in appearance to Oni, they stand more upright and have humanish feet but their skins are similarly blues and reds with smaller horns adorning their heads. Similarly they have brighter colored hair more commonly. The most striking difference is size as Lilim stand on average at about five feet tall and its not uncommon to see Lilim who don't even reach these heights.
Genetics and Reproduction
Both Asmodai peoples reproduce the old fashioned mammilian way. Procreation between them creates a hybrid that seems to share none of the benefits of either race...
Procreation with an Ishima is unheard of.
Ecology and Habitats
Oni prefer dark terrains and their lords typically build castles in shallow caves near the edges of mountains. This brings them into confrontation with Seraph on a regular basis who prefer mountains for their heights.
Lilim typically prefer coastal regions and often enjoy building communities along coastal cliff faces and bays, or even on the many many outlying islands of Surinor.

History
Both the Asmodai and @Ishima existed on Surinor for a long time. And for an equally long time the peoples fought.
This changed once the Surinese appeared. At first they fought the shipwreck survivors as simply a new tribe on the island. But under the great dragons guidance the tribes of Ishima and Asmodai didn't stand a chance and they were quickly absorbed. First as vassals to their new lords and then eventually as equals. Over millenia their culture has morphed and blended with the Surinese and now culturally they are the same... But some old rivalries never die.

- Acid Resistance You have resistance to acid damage.
- Darkvision 60 You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
- Powerful Build You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
- Toughness Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
- Aggressive As a bonus action, you can move up to your movement speed toward a hostile creature you can see or hear. You must end this move closer to the enemy than you started.
- Savage Attacks When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.
- Element Locked When given the choice Oni may only choose earth as their element.
