In -223, the Jump Points in the Majestic system simply ceased to exist. It would be over two centuries before the Resoni would leave the system at faster than light speeds.
The Great Disconnect is considered Part 1 of 2 events that precipitated the Long Night, the other being the Xin Attack on Home 4 months later.
