Location & Appearance:
On the quieter fringes of Sora No Machi, tucked down a narrow side-street and overshadowed by a leaning willow, stands The Worn Reed Boarding House. From the outside, it appears humble and slightly run-down—its wooden façade weathered and paint chipped away by time and neglect. A small sign bearing the silhouette of a bent reed creaks softly in the breeze, welcoming weary travelers who seek nothing more than a cheap bed and a place to keep their heads down.
Interior & Accommodations:
Inside, the boarding house is modest and dimly lit. Its low ceilings, creaking floorboards, and sparse furnishings speak of honest poverty rather than mischief. A handful of small rooms share a corridor lit by a single lantern. Straw mats, a simple futon, and a beaten wooden chest for personal effects form the entirety of each room’s décor. The faint scent of old tatami and boiled herbs lingers in the air, lending a tired but comforting atmosphere.
The innkeepers are an old couple with terrible eyesight and bad memories.
