The Violet Bridle
A modest but welcoming two-story building situated near the outskirts of Sora No Machi . The ground floor houses Shinjo Morinaga small trading post, where intricately tooled horse tack, foreign teas, and vibrant textiles are displayed on wooden shelves and simple stands. A warm scent of saddle leather and imported spice fills the air, mingling with the distant clip-clop of hooves from the adjoining stable where he keeps a few prized Unicorn-bred horses. The upper floor, accessible by a narrow wooden stairway, provides comfortable yet unpretentious accommodations for his guests. The rooms are furnished with soft futons, neatly folded blankets, and low tables set with simple, elegant pottery. A balcony overlooks a humble courtyard below, allowing visitors to enjoy the evening breeze and the distant hum of the town’s bustling marketplace. This arrangement blends commerce and hospitality, reflecting Morinaga’s role as both a merchant and a gracious host to those passing through Sora No Machi.
