Session 3: Mixwhels Revenge

General Summary

Previous Session : Session 2: Finding the Chalice

Shenanigans Galore
  • UH find a place to camp for the evening, several items are attuned too.
  • On the way home to Yabott the UH encounter a group of Unwilling.
    • Rowen Ashe stealths close and begins a conversation.
    • The group are initially cautious but agree to wait in the area whilst Rowen goes and gets everyone else.
    • Ashe Cinders bundles into the area to introduce herself.
    • Christol 'Kit' Abistel casts Zone of Truth and ensures that they are indeed Unwilling.
    • Point man is called Carac Drake - The Leatherworker, who used to be a leatherworker.
    • There is also a Fisherman, a Sailor, a Fletcher, a Peddler, and a Pickpocket.

  • The Golden Chalice is placed on it's pedestal which illuminates the room in a brilliant gold light before dissipating. The Golden Chalice remains glowing intensely on the pedestal.
  • Fletch Dangerfield who updates them on what he has found from the writings in the Tomb of the Dread King.
    • It begins by telling the story of when the Kingdom of Legalaia was founded, the union of The Anstigars and The Legalaias.
    • The newly crowned King and Queen had four Sons and a Daughter.
    • The first born Son, Iskander was heir to the throne of Legalaia. However he craved bloodshed and war, and openly wanted to plunge the realm back into the chaotic fighting which once dominated the land.
    • His Father, concerned by this prospect, proposed and passed a tradition for the newly created Royal Family.
    • The heir to the throne shall be the first born Son, if the King sits upon the throne.
    • The heir to the throne shall be the first born Daughter, if a Queen sits upon the throne, alone.
    • The King shortly abdicated, leaving his wife the Queen of Legalaia upon the throne, and their Daughter, the rightful heir.
    • Iskander felt scorned and betrayed, now seeing his hopes of igniting a war in Legalaia, he left the Palace of Anstigat and was not seen again for many years.
  • Fletch Dangerfield said that the markings are getting harder to transcribe as they move along the wall, a book which helps scholars understand the old writings of Legalaia may be found in a library at Anstigat. However there is a Monk Monastery to the West of Anstigat where the Monks often collected books, they may have the book required to help with the translation of the story.
