Session 2: Finding the Chalice

Previous Report : Session 1: Tomb of the Dread King

Search for the Chalice

• The UH reach the basin of the river.
• Kit used locate object to detect the Chalice.
  • The Chalice is sensed to be upstream however Kit is unsure which side of the river it will be on.
  • After a short walk, Kit senses the Chalice to be nearby, however it appears to be on the opposite side of the river.
• Talon calls an echo to investigate the area where the Chalice is located.
  • Echo-Talon finds the entrance and does a short investigation of the cave.
  • The UH make their way across the river and Kit joins Echo Talons investigation.
  • Upon dropping to a lower level within the cave, the connection with Echo Talon is immediately lost.
• The UH enter and see the golden glow coming from a passage way on the other side of the cave.
• Rowen notices an alcove on the near side of the dungeon and goes to investigate.
  • Attempts to use blinkshot to cross a short gap, however misses and blinks onto the lower level of the cave.
  • With quick reactions, Rowen blinks back to where he was originally standing.
• The UH notice a chest in the alcove, and investigate the area to sense any danger.
  • As Kit discovers breathing bubbles rising from beneath a large rock in the alcove, Rowen makes a break for the chest.
  • As he does this, a Baby Dragon Turtle rises, believing it's home to be under attack, and lunges at Rowen.
  • A viscous battle enrages, however, Ashe and Jackie leave to get the Chalice, not wanting to be party to this slaughter.
  • As the BDT drags Kit under water in it's throws of death, Talon does some sick parkour, finishing the BDT with two arrows to the head.
  • The UH get some cool loot.
• Jackie moves through the golden passageway, where she encounters a Giant Frog.
  • Jackie performs her ritual allowing her to commune with animals.
  • She discovers his name is Ribarb the Timid.
  • He appears to have swallowed the Golden Chalice.
  • Jackie gives him some food.
  • He opens his mouth and Jackie dives in to retrieve the Chalice.
  • Upon hearing Ribarbs story, Jackie vows to return and bring him back to Yabott with her.
• The UH destroy the carcass of the BDT they now know was called Mixwhel in order to pretend it was killed by crocodiles.
