Fletch started life as a lowly beggar boy, an orphan with little going for him and so, the moment he turned 14, he joined the queens local royal forces and served with their recon unit. As a teen who showed prodigious skill as a thief, intelligence gatherer, assassin and magic user. Though his ability as a sniper with a bow was most notable and he earned the name Fletch for his ability with these ranged weapons despite the fact he seldom uses them. and so it was only a matter of time before he was called upon by the Umbral Knights... still an unnamed tiefling.
He has served them since and climbed their ranks... notably earning a legion commander promotion with little to no fanfare for moving across a field of war wizards in the middle of a raging battle and emerging on the other side with his allies completely unscathed. A feat he repeated with a variety of intel winning the most recent war on the intelligence side. This earned him the name of 'Fletch Dangerfield' as he rose to Legion Commander and headed a series of operations for the Umbral Knights.
Since then he joined the Golden Hand as an advisor but has not touched a bow since the day he accidentally shot an ally and killed them on a stealth mission... he has since lost that confidence and sticks to close quarters melee weapons for fear of losing more comrades.
