Vux, god of oceans and rain
As the god of the ocean, Vux had the power to control the waves and the currents, and the creatures of the sea were his loyal subjects. He was a mercurial and unpredictable deity, capable of unleashing devastating storms or calming the fiercest tempests with a single gesture.
Despite his sometimes fierce and wrathful nature, Vux was also known to be a protector of sailors and fishermen, offering safe passage through the treacherous waters of the ocean. He was a patron of exploration and adventure, and many linish sailors still offer prayers and sacrifices to him before setting out on a voyage.
Similar to Meyheth's compassion for the life of the forest, Vux shows a deep and loving devotion to the life of the ocean that is prioritized over the wellbeing or concern of any mortal. Linish sailors usually must make a blood or gold offering before they set sail to fish, so that they can offer something in exchange for the fish they are about to take.
Vux continuously lashes out on land with violent storms and earth-shattering lightning. Unlike the other temperamental gods, Vux seems to be the only one throughout history in which no attempts at reconciliation can sooth him or regain his favor. Once you offend Vux, you appear to be cast out forever. Those who invoke from Vux are the ones most at risk from falling into the void, being influenced by his constant rage and vindictiveness.
