Dorothea Geertzoon-Mettvergen

Born 1303 AK, to parents unrecorded; given up to the care of the Hospital of Ekirena as an infant when it became apparent that she was a tiefling. Enrolled as an apprentice of the Academy, then as a neophyte scholar of the Faculty Militant in 1321 AK. Granted the grade of Adept in 1325 AK (thesis: “An Analysis of Threat Mitigation Strategies against Battlefield Teleportation”), after which she was invited to enlist as an Adept-Militant within the Hellborn Host. Married Hendrik Geertzoon, also an Adept-Militant of the Hellborn Host, in 1329AK; they have two children, born 1330 and 1331, who are both current apprentices at the Academy. Returned to active duty 1334; she and Hendrik were both elevated to the nobility as the “banner-house” of Geertzoon-Mettvergen in 1336 AK, in recognition of their service in support of the Third Grand Regiment, and they were likewise raised to the rank of Knight-Sentinel. Took command of the Hellborn Host in 1339 following the death of Knight-Banneret Isidore "Insight" Schwaren-Erastes
