Left-handedness

Handedness describes, which, if any, hand a person prefers to use for a given task. It is not necessarily a good or bad thing, but in some leanorian cultures, left-handedness is considered negative. This is due to the associations in the acadean faith, where the right side is associated with light, life and strenght, the left with darkness, death and weakness, so the right is considered good, the left evil. As a result, in most regions that were once part of the Acadean Empire, left-handedness is still considered a sign of an evil person.

Left-handed people are said to be more intellegent and creative than others but are also associated with being lonesome, aloof and sometimes even a little crazy as well as manipulative. To this day, left-handers are often seen that way and frequently treated badly because of it. Left-handed children are often forced to learn to do everything with their non-dominant hand in order to avoid such repression. Even though left-handedness is considered a negative condition by many, it does not actually create any kind of disadvantage.

Instead, it can actually bring advantages, for example in a fight. Since there are more right-handers than left-handers, and many left-handers are forced to fight right-handedly, most people are exclusively trained to fight right-handers and right-handedly. This can lead to confusion when faced with a left-handed fighter, because their movements are mirrored to what is expected, forcing the opponent to adjust their movements slightly every time. A left-hander would most likely be used to this, as they would likely train with right-handers most of the time. The only people with even more of an advantage are ambidextrous fighters, people who do not have a preferred side, potentially making their fighting highly unpredictable to any opponent, but such people are very rare.
