Leandor
Leandor is a city located in eastern Eleonis on the shore of the river Vadion. It used to be the seat of House Leandos, one of the five noble families who joined their Lordships to form the Kingdom of Eleonis. Since then, House Leandos has held the royal title of Eleonis multiple times, so the city of Leandor has been the capitol of Eleonis for a considerable amount of time. As a result, Leandor is a beautiful and wealthy city to this day, even though House Leandos has not resided in the city since the Great War, when King Micael Leandos and his heir fell in battle.
Through the marriages of the King's daughters to Ealdir Angeleos, the new King of Eleonis, Nicoleas Meados, Crown Prince of Aguilear, and Maorcas Aorelis, Crown Prince of Lupear, all three had claims to the Lordship of Leandor, so it was split in three parts, though the city itself remained eleonian. Despite not being anyones seat of power anymore, Leandor is still a wealthy and important city due to its geographical position near the Lupean border. It serves as a trading post for goods such as Eleonian Steel or lupean wine and as a stop for any traveller between Lupear and Eleonis along the main road, which follows the river Vadion.
Even though Leandor hasn't been a seat of power since 1115 CE, its architecture still clearly shows the past of the city. The most notable building is the castle of Leandor, formerly the home of House Leandos. The family was a quite wealthy one, which is clearly reflected in bothe the impressive size and the intricate architecture of the castle. Much of the city also consists of large, impressive and inticately designed buildings, showcasing the wealth and importance of Leandor.
